At Merélite, we do not produce ceramics—we cultivate them.
Each of our Jian Zhan cups is born from an ancient tradition, shaped by hand, and entrusted to the fire. No two pieces are the same, because they are not merely made—they are revealed.

Our work draws from the spirit of Song Dynasty Jian Zhan, a form of high-fired stoneware treasured by poets, monks, and tea masters for over 900 years. These vessels are not decorative objects. They are meditative tools, elemental relics, and living companions—glazed by chance, cracked by heat, and glowing with a cosmic bloom that cannot be planned or replicated.

The Fire is Our Artist

Each Merélite piece is fired above 1300°C, where flame becomes an unpredictable collaborator.
The glazes react with mineral content, airflow, and kiln atmosphere to create dramatic, iridescent effects—celestial halos, feathered textures, crystalline bursts, and the rarest of all, Yao Bian (曜变).
Some patterns appear only once in a lifetime. Some are never seen again.

We celebrate what cannot be controlled.
We embrace the tension between precision and surrender.
We believe beauty lives in the unknown.

Our work is organized into five artistic tiers:

- Essence Series – Pure, approachable elegance in small form.
- Element Series – Balanced shapes for daily rituals.
- Plume Series – Inspired by movement in nature: wind, wings, water.
- Masterpiece Series – Limited works of complexity and mastery.
- Singularity Series – Irreplaceable pieces, collected worldwide, and never remade.

Each piece arrives with a poetic description and presentation box. Our higher series include hand-selected documentation and collector’s inserts.
